She always answered my random texts throughout the day, would chat with me after our sessions whenever her schedule allowed and checked in on my mental progress throughout our six months together. This part of the sessions is hard to describe, but when you start working with her, you'll understand what I'm talking about.

 

Emily taught me how to count macros and this completely changed my relationship with food. For most of my life I thought that foods were very much good and bad, black and white. It took some time at first, but I kept it up and after a few months, I started noticing all sorts of changes, inside my body and out. More and more days without snacking on junk food. I started craving healthy whole foods!

My body actually started changing! Fat was disappearing and muscles were forming. Emily is a miracle worker!

 

As for the actual fitness part of training, Emily is queen. I came to her because she has the physique that I actually wanted. Toned and curvy in all the right places. She is incredibly smart when it comes to understanding how the human body performs physically; helping women achieve their ideal physique is truly what she is meant to do in life.

She created workouts that gradually increased in intensity, but continuously challenged me.

 

I went from deadlifting 30 lbs to 135 lbs in 6 months. I started with a 5 lb shoulder press, I'm now pressing 22.5 lbs!

 

She always knew how to keep challenging me and her ability to think on the spot and change a certain move if I was really struggling or wan't feeling it is one of my favorite traits about her.

She always knew what to do in any situation - whether I was sick or really sore or not doing well mentally, she always had a solution that left me feeling better than when I came in. I had a little experience lifting but her tips and tricks took my performance to the next level.

 

Emily pushes her clients beyond what they think their capable of, and that's when they start seeing results.

Emily's constant words of encouragement throughout the workouts made me realize how strong I am and changed my mindset so I believe in myself.  She knew my limits, when I did not, and because of her confidence in me, I pushed past so many mental and physical roadblocks.

Emily made me realize I can do anything  I set my mind to, inside and outside of the gym. Because of Emily's way of training, I learned to enjoy being in the gym, how to push myself, how to encourage myself and how to be patient with the process. It didn't happen overnight, but with hard work and Emily cheering me on, I now look the way I've always wanted to look - I look like Emily!

Where do I even begin with my experience with Fit in 6 and just with Emily as a trainer in general! I’ve always wanted to complete a fitness regimen but have always given up or said that I didn’t have the time. Something clicked as I started these workouts and now I’m almost done with week 5! 

 

I don’t have a scale, but the way I feel trumps any number change I could have seen. As I progressed with the workouts, I noticed that weights that used to be challenging, started to feel lighter, and empowered me to increase the weight and go for it! 

 

The check-ins also were a game changer. It’s so easy to slack off when so many programs out there don’t give you access to the trainer behind it. Emily was always so encouraging and answered any questions I had (and even called me out when she saw that I was using a lower weight on something that I DEFINITELY could have pumped up). I’m sad the 6 weeks is almost over, but I seriously can’t recommend this enough. Feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin is seriously priceless. 

"I love the way Emily explains proper form in detail, with examples, so that I’m getting the most out of each exercise. As for the fat loss, I’ve seen a huge difference in the cellulite on my legs and core, my butt is looking amazing I also never expected to have such toned arms!!! I’m feeling stronger and getting better each day.

The major thing I love about this program and Emily as a coach, is that it’s not just about getting physically fit. It’s a holistic view of your health. Which is something we rarely (if ever) get from going to the gym and trying to sort through the crazy fitness blogs, tips, and BS that other people are offering.

I have struggled to find someone to work with nutritional wise as a vegan. Fortunately there was Emily, a vegan fitness nutritionist and personal trainer. I reached out to her and she immediately addressed my concerns and made a plan for me. I started Emily's macro program to bulk and can already see a difference. I have loads of energy and am growing in confidence and strength, which has been a struggle for me this past year.

To be honest, the reason I started meeting with Emily was to be with my friends!  Yes, I needed to change up my walking/hiking and occasional "workout" routine, but that could happen somewhere down the road!


To my delight, not only do I get to see the girls two mornings a week, I have become stronger and more toned in the 3 months since I started the program.  Emily is very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition (that WILL happen :) and is willing and able to work with different levels of ability.

"Emily has been incredibly helpful to me and my postpartum journey.

Not only has she worked with me to rebuild and improve my strength, flexibility, etc. she has also made is SO easy and do-able by coming to my house to train me. Being a new mom makes it difficult to do a lot for myself, and she makes it possible by coming to me which allows me to have zero excuses!

Emily is knowledgeable in what she does, she explains every move and what muscle group it's working and why it is important. She pushes me to complete hard sets and encourages me to work as hard as I can -- in a very positive way!
